A Beginner's Guide :: Literary Commissions
Hello everyone! ResonantCrimson (https://www.deviantart.com/resonantcrimson) here. I've decided to give this guide a complete overhaul due to having a heck of a lot more experience than I did when I first updated it almost three years ago and when I first wrote it a while back.
If you're looking for help on pricing, we wrote a guide on it as well! You can find it by following this link -> A Beginner's Guide On Pricing :: Redux
The Important Things
When you're considering opening commissions, there are a few things for a person to think of before offering their talents to the public. The two biggest questions to ask yourself are: Why am I opening up commissions? and How much enjoy

PotC: Pirates of the Cafeteria
The cafeteria in the Headquarters of the Protectors of the Plot Continuum didn’t look too terribly different from that of an average high school. To be sure, the walls, ceiling, floor and even furniture were an identical textureless grey, and the people chatting and eating ran the gamut from humans to illithids to a Triceratops, with most dressed in all black. Still, it was a large, rectangular room with long tables lined through the middle, and one wall dominated by a row of portable metal carts filled with various foods, dished out by more black-clad humanoids wearing hairnets.

It was midsummer, the pecha blossoms were in bloom and the breeze combined with the heat led to weeks where people would just lie in the sun and talk, or shop and eat ice-cream and laugh. Those are some of my happiest memories.
On this particular day my mother got a call from an old friend of hers. I remember her running in the door and shouting for me to come down stairs. I was completely bewildered and slightly irritated, if I remember correctly, as she'd interrupted me while I was flirting with one of the neighbours out of the window.
When I got to the bottom of the stairs, anxious to be done with my mother, she p

Silver X Reader: Bad-Boy (AU)
“Hey! Watch where you’re going!” a guy with dark black hair and golden eyes shouted as he pushed you against your locker, drooping your books in the process.
You sighed and cursed under your breath as he continued walking away like nothing happened, and snickered with his friends. You decided not to make such a big deal out of it since it was more like a routine to you. You weren’t popular and were often bullied because you were one of the brightest students in your high school, and many people didn’t thing you were attractive.
You wished you could do something to stop being bullied. You actually can, but you p

A little bitter, aren't we?
A: Over here.
B: Ah, there you are. Stunning as ever, I see. {He sits down.} You -
A: Shut up.
A WAITER appears, seemingly out of thin air.
A: Black coffee, milk and two sugars.
B: Coke, thanks.
He nods, and vanishes.
A: So what took you so long to show?
B: School. Well, you know how it is; not all of us are completely adept at playing truant whenever we feel like it, you know.
A: It's a waste of fucking time. No-one bothers.
B: No-one you know. And so says the boy sitting sulky in a dark corner with a - frankly dazzling - shiner.
A does not respond, and avoids eye contact, scowling down at the gleaming tabletop. B gives up on wait
Lacy was pretty sure that she had the lamest super power ever when she had first developed the ability in middle school after the flash that had given a third of all the females on the planet some sort of extra ability. In the beginning she was just able to absorb water at will. If she absorbed enough of it she got puffy and swelled up.
It really was a pretty stupid ability at first, but later she learned how to absorb water then redirect it and kind of shoot water from her fingertips. Then she was able to apply pressure to it and use it as a kind of weapon. The last trick that she learned was how to absorb water and control where it was sto
Fireworks decorated the night sky. Stars sparkled gloriously, giving off a bright shine that invited the fireworks’ glow. The moon was as breathtaking as ever, gleaming wonderfully with its little stars dancing around. Many people and Pokémon were cheering and laughing, ushering the New Year with a bang and many promises of joy and success.
A young woman sat silently inside a Ferris wheel. The cargo had reached a stop a few minutes ago so that people inside would witness the crackling show. Luckily for her, her cargo halted at the peak of the Ferris wheel, enabling the brunette to bask in the beauty and wonders of the world
Janice didn't rush towards the dome wall. She limped as fast as she could, shifting weight to her good foot, painfully moving forward. She splayed her hands on the transparent wall and gazed at the growing crack. I realized I was holding my breath - everyone was - but I relaxed when the crack stopped growing. Janice sighed, lowered her head and just stood there, hands still on the wall, her silhouette framed by the red sand outside.
I wanted to get up from the gray grass, to tell Janice it was all going to be okay. I wanted to tell her it was just a surface crack and that I would fix it in the morning, before I did my rounds checking the ai

A New Hope (Jean x Reader) Chapter 1
Author’s Note: Being a SnK series, this fanfic will have action, blood, and some gore. Other warnings will apply when applicable to the chapter. It will follow the events of the series (with some direct quoting). It starts at the end of Trost and will go until a point in the manga. Once I start hitting chapters with manga spoilers I’ll be putting “(Spoiler)” in the title. Until then, you’re on your own if you haven’t already seen the anime. =P If you have any questions, comments, concerns, praise, or constructive criticism then by all means let me know. That being said, enjoy!
